Template talk:Editnotices/Page/Wikipedia:Community bulletin board
This is the talk page of the page notice for Wikipedia:Community bulletin board. All editnotices (except those in userspace) are protected via MediaWiki:Titleblacklist, so the "protection" status as set by the protection tab is mostly irrelevant. |

Please update the text to follow the new (2 months old) instructions/system. Replace all the "text= ..." with the following:
- IMPORTANT: New system: Submit any new wikiprojects, taskforces, backlog drives, or finished portals, to the Signpost WikiProject desk so that they can potentially (at The Signpost editors' discretion) be included in the next issue of The Signpost. The CBB is no longer included in the Community Portal.

How to add to the community bulletin board
(See #Instructions for the full version of this notice.) The community bulletin board has 2 sections that can be used by Wikipedians for announcements: "Events and projects" and "WikiProject notices". In general, keep it concise (under 2 lines), refrain from fancy formatting, and new entries should be placed at the top of their section.

The reasoning is that I am currently re-vitalizing the community bulletin board, and this editnotice will make it easier for editors to understand how to add entries. The editnotice provides a concise summary on how to add entries to the page, and touches on many more aspects than the previous one did. It exists as a summary of Wikipedia_talk:Community_bulletin_board#Instructions. — PerfectSoundWhatever (t; c) 22:13, 23 June 2022 (UTC)
