This template displays a random motto of the day from the period starting one year ago and ending on the current day.

Parameters

• |day=no hides the day and purge button:

The want of argument supplied:
They rail, reviled; as often ends
The contests of disputing friends.

• |break=yes inserts a line break between the day and the motto:
