Template:Merge from TfD/doc

Usage

{{subst:Merge from TfD|date=|disc=|1st template|2nd template|3rd template...}}

This template is used to notify a page that an Templates for Discussion is considering a merge to this page. This template must be substituted.

Parameters

This template takes two named parameters and up to 20 unnamed parameters, one of which is required for the template to function properly.

• date - this required parameter must be set to the date of the TfD discussion that brought about the proposed merge NOT the current date. It is used to link to the appropriate TfD discussion.
• disc - this optional parameter can be set to the template name of the TfD discussion that brought about the proposed merge. It is used to link to the appropriate TfD discussion section. If this named parameter is not set, the first unnamed parameter will be used for the section link to the TfD discussion.
• unnamed parameters - these can be used to provide a link to multiple templates to be merged. If the disc= parameter is not set, the first template listed should be the title of the TfD discussion.
