This template provides a simple way to link to the official LIRR station information page and timetable pages. It also makes changes easy in case the MTA redesigns their website. In most cases, simply placing {{LIRR links}} in the external links section on a page should be sufficient. However, when the article name does not end in station, one must supply the station name as a parameter like {{LIRR links|Atlantic Terminal}}. The only cases of this are:
- Penn Station
- Atlantic Terminal
- Hempstead
- Morris Park Facility
Note that because the MTA doesn't provide the info, there is no station descriptor page for Hillside Facility or Morris Park Facility (Boland's Landing).
