Caution!
Please be careful when editing this page, as incorrect syntax could break the tool (by excluding too many pages or preventing the other rules from being read). Ensure you follow the instructions exactly. They are repeated here for reference:
- Example entry
url = <nowiki>http://example.com</nowiki>
- The above example will match
http://example.com/foo/bar but not http://foobar.example.com .
* can be used as a wildcard to match all subdomains, including the lack of one. www is matched even when no subdomain is specified.
- Starting a rule with
re: after the first <nowiki> tag will cause it to be treated as a regular expression. This match will be done using Python's re.match() against a lowercase form of the URL with no protocol.
- Exceptions are protocol-insensitive (so the rule
http://en.wikipedia.org will match https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Foo ). Please use http:// .
- Anything following
# on a line is ignored.
In particular, note the following:
- Do not change
http:// to https:// or // . These URLs are protocol-insensitive by default.
- Do not include
www .
- The tool only reloads this list once every twelve hours, so changes will not take effect immediately.
