Sie werden euch in den Bann tun, BWV 44

  • Comment: I expanded the article (or rather wrote a new one), 4770 chars as I nominate. It had 721 when it was created (which included - unwanted - text), and had 522 chars when I started expanding on 14 May. I don't know why DYKcheck still sees no 5* expansion, perhaps because more - unwanted - text had been there in between?

Comment: Gerda, the reason DYKcheck doesn't see a 5x expansion is because at one point the article's contents was almost entirely the text of the cantata, which was over 1700 characters. Since Wikipedia isn't a repository of libretti, I don't think a 2011 inclusion of the complete libretto, which was subsequently removed as a mistake, should be included in the prose count: after all, it wasn't prose, it was a poetic libretto—rather like a list, but in a form DYKcheck will count. But I'm still comparatively new in DYK terms; perhaps you can find an old hand who can give a definitive ruling? BlueMoonset (talk) 20:50, 15 May 2012 (UTC)
  • We had a similar case in 2010, before the templates, Bereitet die Wege, bereitet die Bahn! BWV 132, the text was not counted then. Wikiproject Classical music had decided not to use the text in the article, there are links to it and to various translations to different languages, therefore it was removed. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 20:57, 15 May 2012 (UTC)
Tweaked hook and date ok, length also ok per above and as x5 expansion with vast bulk of previous content outside the character count per eligibility criteria, as "lists, and tables etc"; good to go (on Sunday 20 May please), Maculosae tegmine lyncis (talk) 08:34, 17 May 2012 (UTC)
