Hook is sad but neutral, interesting (ALT1 is not interesting enough), and short enough. The wording, however, was a bit awkward, so I've taken the liberty of adjusting it. Hook (and rest of article) is cited to offline sources, but that's not a problem. Article is written in somewhat purple prose - I have tightened it up a bit.
