  • Just a few small points that I wanted to address before moving forward with this article. Excellent research, by the way, this was interesting to read. So just a few points:
    • I'm partial to the first hook, but I think that in order to avoid assumptions (that 'collections of its kind' is referring to Polish paintings), it can be reworded to: ...amassed a collection of over 200 paintings by Polish artists, at the time one of the largest private collections of Polish art?
    • The claim that it was the largest private collection of its kind is missing from the article itself. Additionally, for such a bold claim, do you have an online source for it? Or at the very least, could you provide a brief snippet of the relevant part of Ryszkewicz's work for me to read? I can, at the very least, Google Translate it.
    • Within the article itself, there are two sections that I feel need citations but are missing. Specifically, Korwin-Milewski's list of collections (unclear if this is citation 7), and the sentences relating to Gutnajer and the German occupation, including the claim that it is unclear what the fate of Gutnajer's collection.
Otherwise, everything else seems to check out. No copyvios, no image suggested although the subject's portrait is public domain if you wish to use it. I believe this is your first DYK so no QPQ required, right?

  • Sorry that I respond so late haha169. Ad 1: I think your proposition is better. I considered a similar wording at the beginning but it seemed too long, but now I think precision is more important. Ad 2: I don't claim it was the largest, but one of the largest collections of the contemporary Polish art, Ryszkiewicz says it was "one of the most consciously collected, most valuable and most beautiful of the Polish paintings collections". I will add that to the article. Ad 3: Yes that's my first DYK. I think that IKM portrait can be used. I will add requiered citations Marcelus (talk) 07:41, 27 April 2022 (UTC)
