Withdrawn by nominator.

Badland 2

  • ... that you can move the character in both directions in Badland 2?

  • Not long enough. Prior to my removal of content in copyright infringement (diff), the article had a 1081 character count. It is now at 844 characters (diff). Checks for copyvio at this time are not revealing any problems (e.g. [1]). North America1000 13:20, 20 December 2015 (UTC)
  • I'm a new page patroller myself and I've been tagging so many articles under the criteria of G12. I would never copy-paste contents from a website. The content which you removed in the article for copyright infringement was actually copied from this article, not from the website. All the content other than the one which got removed were typed by me only. I'm really not sure how make the article a 0% violation of copyright infringement when the author of the article never did made it. If nothing can be done about it then I would like to withdraw the nomination. Thanks. Ayub407talk 13:50, 20 December 2015 (UTC)
  • @Ayub407: I have restored the content to the article. Yes, the Youtube content here was published on May 28, 2015, and does appear to be copied from Badland (video game), which had this content on the Wikipedia page prior to the publishing of the YouTube page. I apologize for this miscalculation. The article is still not long enough. Also, the article includes content copied from Badland (video game). Per #A5 of the DYK supplementary rules, "If some of the text in a nominated article was copied from another Wikipedia article, and the copied text is more than seven days old, then the copied text must be expanded fivefold as if the copied text had been a separate article." • @Northamerica1000: Thanks for clarifying and no need to apologize. :) I'll make note of using copy attribution whenever copying content from other article page. I acknowledge that the article is short and I'll try to expand it and re-nominate it. Ayub407talk 15:22, 20 December 2015 (UTC)
  • Both hooks are very dull and not acceptable. New hook please. Gatoclass (talk) 13:58, 22 December 2015 (UTC)
  • Isn't the nomination closed because the article being too short? Ayub407talk 14:10, 22 December 2015 (UTC)
  • Ayub407, if a new article is too short when nominated, we give the nominator a chance to expand it while it's still under review. Otherwise, there are only two ways to renominate it: as a 5x expansion (which, since the article is currently 1061 prose characters, would require a 5335 prose character article), or as a listed Good Article, which requires meeting the GA criteria and going through a review that could take months. I strongly recommend that you work on expanding the article now if you want it to succeed at DYK. BlueMoonset (talk) 06:43, 23 December 2015 (UTC)
  • I understand but right now, I have no content to expand the article any further. The game was released just 5 days ago. Ayub407talk 15:34, 23 December 2015 (UTC)
  • If you think there's likely to be new material published in the next week or two that you could use for an expansion in that period, we can certainly hold the nomination open that long. Or we can close it if you'd rather. It's entirely up to you. BlueMoonset (talk) 16:39, 23 December 2015 (UTC)
  • There won't be anything much material to be published for this month only. It's better to close this nomination. Thanks Ayub407talk 05:45, 24 December 2015 (UTC)
