updates on production sent to China and recent lines

I cleaned up this whole article. It seems prior versions were added by the a corporate PR person. I added a section about production being sent to China - important, I think, because this was one of the last lines of synthetic boots made in the US and production being sent oversees caused so much backlash in the Pacific Northwest where they are common that even Alaska politicians got involved and there was plenty of cite-able sources about this. Also, they were the last rubber boots being manufactured in North America. Production remains in China, although I added the company's explanation and justification for why the move was necessary.

I also verified all links - they are still active - so I removed the unverified content icon.

Then, I added a portion about the casual footwear line - important, I think, because it was an attempt at brand expansion which was ultimately abandoned and what shoes were sold look like they may become quite sought-after in the Pacific Northwest and Alaska. reversions

How come everytime I add a few comments with more information about XtraTuf boots the text gets deleted?

Because what you are adding is pure promotion, a violation of the spam guidelines. 76.102.52.168 (talk) 06:03, 11 March 2010 (UTC)

Southeast only? I don't think so.

I chuckled at the contention that it is only Juneau and Southeast that wears these. They are equally prevalent on the Kenai Penninsula, and I would imagine in the Aleutians as well. Here in Homer we call them "Homer sneakers". Nearly everyone has a pair, even little kids. I have been to a wedding where the bride was wearing them. I'll see if can't find some sources to expand the article with. Beeblebrox (talk) 18:06, 2 September 2012 (UTC)
