I have a question that I hope someone can answer - the world's sea water is made up of four oceans - within those oceans are various 'seas', 'straits', 'gulfs' etc - if you were to try to define these sub 'oceans' or seas, would you say for example, The Tasman Sea is in the Pacific Ocean, or is it not part of any ocean - it is an entity on its own.

I would appreciate any input into this discussion.
