Re Orthodox participation

The section about Orthodox protest is gratuitous and the comments that it is "almost exclusively the province of Reform and Conservative" is absolutely false. Take a look at the home page for the conference and look at the list of participants. All of the various city "chief rabbis" from Israel are Orthodox, as are those from Europe, and if you look at the pictures, the Orthodox appear to be the majority of the Jewish participants.

Any Orthodox issues with interreligious dialogue are in relation to other issues entirely.

This paragraph is incorrect and gratuitous and should be either edited for accuracy or removed.

The issue of the reason for the participation of the Israeli chief "rabbi" was addressed. The comments there ARE accurate percentage wise, in that only a fringe minority of "Orthodox" take part in these meetings and groups. All the rest shun them totally. In contrast to Reform and Conservative, who typically take part in these activities in one form or another. So I stand by my post. Yehoishophot Oliver 13:39, 4 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Your comments on Orthodoox opposition had nothing to do specificially with this event. If you find sources that criticise this event then [please add them, but until then it is just editorializing and Original Research. If you look at the Web site of the event - every rabbi who participated was Orthodox and over half were Haredi and members of Haredi Batei Din. --Jayrav 05:15, 24 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
