Relation with compass roses

this should be its own page. Wind Roses are different than compass roses, in that they are a graphical description of wind vectors —Preceding unsigned comment added by Hwestbrook (talkcontribs) 18:56, 9 November 2006

thank god someone's already mentioned it, this article should not redirect to compass roses. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.151.231.68 (talkcontribs) 19:29, 6 February 2007
New content shows why there was an "issue" with this previously. The old version of a wind rose is as a compass rose. Thegreatdr (talk) 18:44, 26 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

parenthesis

There's a left parenthesis in the middle of the first paragraph. I am guessing where to put a right parenthesis, so . . .

link to polar co-ordinate system

I think saying that wind roses use polar co-ordinates is extremely misleading? Polar co-ordinates start on the x-axis and go anticlockwise, while co-ordinates used in wind roses start at North (y axis) and go clockwise if I'm not mistaken? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2001:388:608C:4C73:7D77:94AF:80FA:7293 (talk) 23:09, 12 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
