E-Type Jaguar

The main article is missing Towns rebodied version of the E-Type Jaguar. Towns redesigned the E-Type Jaguar with a fiberglass body that was clad directly over the E-Type "tub" with a completely new bonnet. This car was known as a "Guyson Jaguar" and was completely formed of slab-like flat panels and is a "folded paper" design of wedge and box-like form. They only built two Guyson "E-Types". Towns design for the Aston Martin Lagonda regularly features on the lists of the worlds ugliest cars! The article suggests that Towns was the principal designer of the Rover BRM turbine with David Bache, where is the evidence for this? Towns was openly critical of Rover designs and particularly the Rover 2000 P6 which was designed by David Bache whilst Towns was employed by Rover. Ironically when Towns designed the Aston Martin DBS he lifed the twin headlamp alloy grill look of the P6, and much of the rest of the AM DBS and V8 was a shameless amalgam of cliched American muscle car designs. None of this is original research or just my opinion as it has all appeared in Classic Cars magazine over the last 40 years. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.148.38.65 (talk) 17:30, 20 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
