Living or deceased?

Given the time period he served as Chief, I'm assuming Moran is no longer living. I looked but couldn't find a source saying if or when he died, if anyone knows of such a source could they please add it to the article? Thanks. - SudoGhost 17:16, 26 April 2013 (UTC)

I found a New York Times obituary that says he died on September 10, 1946, at the age of 82: [1]. (If he had still been alive today, he would've had to have been at least 113 years old!) —Gordon P. Hemsley→✉ 16:48, 28 April 2013 (UTC)
