Infobox country deleted

The entire Infobox country seemed to be a concoction of misunderstandings, lacking any specified sources. There was no duchy called Herzogtum Weißenstein (zero matches in a Google search, apart from this Wikipedia article). In the German article de:Weißenstein (Kärnten) there is no mention of any such territory or historic era either.

The noble family, who was active in and around places such as Weißenstein (a different one, not the one in Carinthia), Kronburg and Schwabeck, were mere barons and counts, not dukes.

The origin of all these misunderstandings seems to be this: The noble family of Rechberg (barons from 1577, counts from 1607) was divided in many lines (see de:Rechberg (Adelsgeschlecht)#Rechberger Linien, one of which was called Rechberg und Weißenstein zu Hohenrechberg (after castle de:Schloss Weißenstein (Württemberg)), one Rechberg und Staufeneck und Weißenstein zu Kronburg-Kellmünz (extinct in 1604), one Rechberg und Staufeneck und Weißenstein und Kellmünz zu Türkheim-Schwabeck (as in de:Herrschaft Schwabegg or Schwabeck, which was a territory in southern Germany, near Augsburg). That family never reached the nobility rank of dukes, or a duchy. They lived in southern Germany (between Göppingen and Augsburg), not in Austria (Carinthia).

In short: If there was such a territory (under a different name) it did not have anything to do with Carinthia and the Carinthian town of Weißenstein. So, I deleted this Infobox. -- Martinus KE (talk) 09:16, 24 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
