Proper inclusion of all elements of LWL

This article simply replaces LWL with WL, ignoring the meaning and importance of the first L (load). Most likely, that means when the boat is "loaded" (vs. empty). Regardless, that element should not be ignored and should be explained in the article by someone who actually knows (and can prove) the answer.

Max hull speed formula

At the bottom of the article, a formula is given for deriving max hull speed based on boat length. However, it may be wrong. Why? sqrt (LWL x 1.4) is not the same as sqrt(LWL) x 1.4. The former is used in this article. The latter is the formula I've found elsewhere. This should be corrected by someone who actually knows (and can prove) the answer.

The exact definition of the load waterline length is (at the time of 2009-12-09) to be defined at court in one of the law suits between Alinghi and BMW Oracle Racing in preparation of the 33rd America's Cup.
