Discoverer constellation designation

Using a discoverer constellation designation WISE 0350-5658 would be Kirkpatrick Reticuli or Kirkpatrick Ret. Astredita (talk) 13:05, 19 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Distance Discrepancy

This article reference a parallax and distance that equates to 11.2 ly from the Sun. This would place the star between WISE 1506+7027 and EZ Aquarii A,B,C. Yet, the list articles showing the stars within 5 pc give a ly distance of 12.068 (between Gliese 1061 and YZ Ceti). Which need to be corrected -- this article or the list articles linking the star entry to this page? Tesseract501 (talk) 03:36, 29 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The 2013.1 Astrophys. J article by Marsh, Wright, Kirkpatrick, et al ("Parallaxes And Proper Motions...", link on SIMBAD), revises the earlier Kirkpatrick et al numbers to indicate 12.06 ly. However, SIMBAD itself states a parralax of 238, indicating 13.7 ly, which is what space.com, citing "NASA" data, happens to use in its "Nearest Stars" diagram. I've seen discrepencies in the various list articles and stellar system articles here on wikipedia. Many revisions happening in the journals?
