Maintenance banner: Tennessee voter turnout 2020
Hi ,
I noticed that the maintenance banner states that this article needs to be updated and gives as a reason that the 2020 Tennessee voter turnout needs to be updated to the correct shading of voter turnout: 69.30% of turnout in the 2020 presidential election.
When I did some research to find Tennessee's voter turnout in 2020, I found the graph to be accurate and the number for Tennessee voter turnout in 2020 to be closer to 59-60%.

If anyone can provide a source with the other number, please do, but until then I'll remove the maintenance template.
Thanks, Anne-Christine

Turnout Statistics/Measuring Turnout
I've just added some info to the beginning of this section, to make clear what the VEP and VAP are. I am doing some work on this article as part of a Wiki Education course for Scholars.
I think this section should actually be at the beginning of the article. I would also like to remove the discussion of the Bipartisan Policy Center under the table. The BPC report has different numbers than other sources because it is published only two days after the election. While it is very valuable that BPC and others produce estimates of turnout right after the election when interest is high, it's not necessary to point out those differences long after. Since 1932?
This has data going much further back. Jmj713 (talk) 22:50, 28 May 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks -- I'm not quite sure why the person who created the table only included the data they included. I think it would be good to make it more complete. If anyone would like to work on that, I think that would be great. I 'm new to Wikipedia editing, so I won't be able to tackle that for a while. Margaretbx (talk) 17:15, 29 May 2024 (UTC)
