The first half of this sentence: "It takes a few branches of Vistula, notably Nogat and Pregolya rivers and is connected to Gdańsk Bay by the Strait of Baltiysk." doesn't make sense.

The article on Baltiysk says that the lagoon was created by an inundation in 1510. Clearly inconsistent with the info in this article.1812ahill (talk) 11:05, 12 April 2014 (UTC)

Etymology of the German

So, was it actually originally named Friesisches Haff? Because later in the article it mentions a Latin name including recens (fresh, as in unsalty), likening it to the modern Frisches Haff, as they mean the same thing (frisch and recens). But if it is true that the current German name is a truncation or some other derivation of Friesisches Haff, then the correlation is purely co-incidental.
