I've found a few references on Wikipedia to vestibules in rail cars. Anyone know what that referes to?

Yes; it's a term used on UK railways (and maybe others; I don't know) to refer to what Americans would call the space "between cars" - on some trains, eg High Speed Trains, it's where the main doors are situated. I'll add a note to the article. 86.136.251.2 22:38, 4 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

"A vestibule is also defined to be a bathroom fixture consisting of a bowl, usually with a detachable, hinged seat and lid, and a device for flushing with water, used for defecation and urination. In the design phase, it is necessary to make sure there is at least one vestibule per building."

I find this unnecessary, considering "a toilet" is already on the list. Perhaps someone wanted to make the destinction between the toilet as a device and the toilet as the room containing such a device.
