Information and source about origins of name

To avoid the explicit unsourced statement "the ship was named after X", I have added "Mahopac is a lake and a hamlet in the state of New York." as explanatory footnote. Readers still have the same amount of information, but we avoid an unverified assumption - maybe that's a workable solution? GermanJoe (talk) 16:58, 19 December 2016 (UTC)
