Necessity of separate pages?

Is this article and the Type 98 20 mm AA Half-Track article really necessary? Both of these vehicles could easily be put in the Type 1 Ho-Ki article under 'variants'. Semi-Lobster

Dunno - there's no reason not to link from there to this article. But wikipedia is not paper - there's no reason not to give something an article if there is sufficient information. Megapixie 01:34, 26 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Well there is precident in having vehicles like this going into one article. The Type 98 variants are all simply Type 1 Ho-Ki half-tracks with a piece of artillery mounted on them. The exact same thing as what the Germans did with their SdKfz 251 and all of their variants are one one page.Semi-Lobster

Need references to source information on this page

Would appreciate references for this page. Because there is lots of confusion about this particular tank's existence, armaments, and structure. Was it ever deployed after March 1944? WinterSpw (talk) 18:53, 14 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I added what sources I could find and did some ce and re-write accordingly. Frankly, the Type 98 Ta-Se single gun version came out first and I don't know why this second prototype version was given a titled separate article. Both were only prototypes and never went into general production. With that said, they do deserve a separate page from the "half-track" version discussed above.
