How did Whalen revitalize downtown and neighborhoods as mentioned in the article? Can anyone be more specific? If he is credited with doing so why was downtown so rundown after he left office? Why is Arbor Hill and the South End so terrible? Why is it downtown and Park South and numerous other neighborhoods needed so much help during Jennings term? If Whalen revitalized downtown I'd hate to see what it looked like prior to his administration in 1982, because when he left office it looked alot worse than it does today.Camelbinky (talk) 20:39, 22 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I have a photo of Whalen from the Tricentennial celebration in 1986. It was taken by my family. I have to go home and look at it, but if someone wants to look at it and make sure it's a good enough quality, let me know. If I recall correctly, it's a face shot and pretty up close.
