Copyvio?

It looks like there's a lot of similarity between the content of this article and the content of the same article on NNDB. Several sentences are copied word for word. That page doesn't mention Wikipedia at all; that material is "copyright 2006 Soylent Communications". This article doesn't mention them. The articles on Johannes Scotus Eriugena are also similar. Seems like a problem but I have no idea how to sort it out... help? Jaeger5432 13:10, 25 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Awful article

This horrble article deserves no mercy at all as it runs through several paragraphs and says absolutely nothing about Dempster. There is nothing about his great work on the Etruscans and the fact that some consider him the founder of Etruscology. As for his colorful life set in Elizabethan times you can extract nothing, nothing at all. I think the author of this Britannica article must have been raised in the floruit of Queen Victoria. His main concern is to scrub Dempster's life of everything meaningful and characteristic in it. I'm going to do some work on it after which it will not be an Encyclopedia Britannica article but may contain some text from Britannica still so I will leave in the caveat. I encourage other persons also to try to rescue Dempster from the Victorian thickets hiding his grave. If anyone decided to copy this article for Internet information, you and he might as well forget it. There's no information. It's worthless.Dave 13:23, 24 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Too many Thomases

There are at least three people named 'Thomas' in this article (Thomas Dempster Sr. and Jr. and a descendant of Edward Coke), and they are all repeatedly referred to by just the given name. I couldn't completely make sense of it, and doubt very many can. Needs clarification. Chris the speller (talk) 15:02, 2 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
