Down with Entropy

I tried to violate entropy in physics class before, didn't work darnit.98.165.6.225 (talk) 21:12, 11 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

There are three forms of heat flow: conduction, convection, and radiation. Entropy increases when taking conductive heat and converting it into radiation. It may do so directly. If indirectly, conduction is followed by convection before heat is radiated. To reduce entropy, one must produce conductive heat from radiation at a faster rate than one produces radiation from conductive heat. A thermal diode converting IR photons into conductive heat or electricity without regard to temperature differences coming from either side could do just that.Kmarinas86 (6sin8karma) 16:25, 3 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

diode => 2 electrodes => electrical phenomena

Rather than merging Thermal Rectifier into Thermal Diode the opposite should occur. Diode implies 2 terminal (electrode) electrical device. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 108.77.183.13 (talk) 13:31, 30 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
