To potential deleters

This text has been based on information provided by the Historical Group of the Royal Society of Chemistry. This is not a commercial enterprise, and the Historical Groups explicitly exists to encourage an interest in the history of chemistry and chemical industry. As such, it is not expected to limit the use of the information on the Historical group websites. The information was retrieved from their webpage, which do not contain any copyright notices or indications, which is in line with the noted encouragement. • If you navigate from the page to the site of the Royal Society of Chemistry, you can find their copyright notice, from which I quote.

This web site and any RSC information accessed from this site are protected by copyright.

The RSC maintains this site for your information, education, communication, and personal entertainment. You may browse, download or print out one copy of the material displayed on the site for your personal, non-commercial, non-public use, but you must retain all copyright and other proprietary notices contained on the materials. You may not further copy, distribute or otherwise use any of the materials from this site without the advance, written consent of RSC.

  • If, however, the Historical Group is a separate entity and does not assert copyright over its contents, then this article is no longer a speedy candidate. --howcheng [ talkcontribsweb ] 22:14, 21 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]
  • still no need to delete the article, that is over the top: just include the essential information in the article (name, birth, death, main accomplishments) as a oneliner with the source V8rik 22:25, 21 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Copyright problems

I've removed the speedy deletion tag, but if necessary, retag and bring to WP:CP. It seems more complicated than a simple speedy. --HappyCamper 23:03, 21 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]
