Plot of Rael 1

It says: "The plot is not clear from the excerpt, but it apparently involves a heroic "Captain" who is betrayed by his crew during a clandestine attempt to save Rael from a looming invasion by the Red Chins." I think the Hero and the Captain are two different people, as the Hero says "now Captain listen to my instructions, return to this spot on Christmas Day." When the crew says "he's crazy," are they talking about the Captain's potential return, or the Hero's desire for them to return? 98.221.133.96 (talk) 22:54, 31 August 2008 (UTC)

Editions

This needs more about editions. Unfortunately, the American first edition was different from the British first edition. Several songs appeared in the US on the anthology album A Quick One. Also, "Mary Ann" was released as a single here, and "Tattoo" was a regular concert feature, hardly obscure. Ortolan88 02:00, 29 Sep 2004 (UTC)

What was different? I showed the variant track listings on the earlier albums, but this is the first I've ever heard that this one also had differences. — B.Bryant 02:26, 29 Sep 2004 (UTC)
Methinks you're confused, or else I'm not understanding you correctly. A Quick One is not a compilation album, it was the group's second album in the UK. It was retitled Happy Jack in the US and underwent minimal changes. The group's third album--this one, The Who Sell Out--was released in mono and stereo versions in both the US and the UK. The US mono is the same as the UK mono, the US stereo is the same as the UK stereo. Maybe you're thinking of Magic Bus? Some songs from Sell Out re-appear on that US compilation.

Two nipples?

is it just me or does Entwistle appear to have two nipples? (have a look at the back cover) or is it just a blue mark?

I think it is a tattoo (most likely a reference to the song "TATTOO").

Most people have two nipples... And yes, that's a tattoo. RobbieG (talk) 20:24, 28 November 2007 (UTC)

Medac - Clearasil

Ever since the Revision as of 04:33, 3 August 2005 by 203.26.177.2, it has been stated that Originally Moon was seen applying a tube of Clearasil, but the manufacturer objected and the cover was changed for the US and subsequent editions. Is there any evidence of this. I bought the album in the UK in 1967 very soon after it came out, and Moon has Medac. No one I know has any recollection of Clearasil. Might it be the case that they wanted to use Clearasil, the company objected, so they used Medac, but no albums were ever released with Clearasil? It would be very strange to include a track called Medac with a Clearasil picture on the cover!!!! Emeraude 22:26, 26 October 2006 (UTC)

There appear to be several scans of the "Clearsil" cover on various Who fan sites. See for example http://www.thewho.info/images/TWSO-LP-AU-B.jpg --guru 22:04, 22 November 2006 (UTC)

The "Clearasil" cover is exclusive to Australia. I assume Australia received the sleeve proofs before other countries. The Canadian issue changed "Charles Atlas" to "Isometrics". --J2 22:17, 12 March 2007 (UTC)

"Rael 1"?

Was it called this on the original release, or was the "1" added to differentiate it from "Rael 2" on the CD release? RobbieG (talk) 20:26, 28 November 2007 (UTC)

On label of the original British release, the song is titled "Rael (1 and 2)". 202.94.132.18 (talk) 14:46, 26 July 2009 (UTC)

Armenia City in the Sky

There is no source directly stating who sings on "Armenia City in the Sky." Roger and Pete are the most likely vocalists. Jjm905 (talk) 16:08, 8 September 2009 (UTC)

Back Cover

Does anyone have a picture of the back cover to use? Democraticmacguitarist (talk) 18:30, 15 March 2010 (UTC)

I Can't Reach You

It says: "I Can't Reach You" is called "I Can't Reach You" on other releases. What is the difference? --Shadow King618 (talk) 23:21, 26 September 2010 (UTC)

Should be "Can't Reach You" is called "I Can't Reach You" on other releases or something along those lines. The label on the original U.K. Track Records release gives the title without an I. --61.45.193.60 (talk) 21:51, 21 January 2012 (UTC)

after "I Can See for Miles", the Charles Atlas body building program advert is not in the track listing 82.46.111.137 (talk) 21:31, 10 November 2010 (UTC)

Running Time is Wrong

The 37-minute running time is wrong. It only counts the combined lengths of the main songs, not the jingles. The actual running time is closer to 42 minutes. Can someone find out exactly how long it is and fix it? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.67.121.101 (talk) 19:03, 13 September 2011 (UTC)

My iTunes says 39.4 minutes. hare j 06:52, 5 October 2011 (UTC)
