Re: Errors in Article on "The Mystery of a Hansom Cab"

I just finished it and really enjoyed it. In my Kindle edition the name of the family is consistently spelled "Frettlby" and not "Frettbly" as it is in this article. I only have the e-book, so I can't tell you with 100% certainty which spelling is correct, but they definitely do not match each other. Detective Gorby is also not the main character, and only appears in the first part of the book and another detective takes over the case. 96.248.250.29 (talk) 05:31, 11 October 2011 (UTC)

Nationality of author

Fergusson Wright Hume was born in England in 1859 to Scottish parents and as a baby was taken to New Zealand. He studied law at the University of Otago and was accepted to the New Zealand Bar in 1885. He emigrated to Melbourne where he hoped to break into the theatrical world where he wrote Mystery of a Hansom Cab. He left Melbourne for England in 1888 and lived there until his death in 1932. While he spent a large part of his life in the UK - the first 29 years of his life were spent in NZ and Australia so I wouldnt call him an English writer. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Taranaki5 (talk • contribs) 08:09, 26 August 2012 (UTC)
