"Out of competition"?

What does the 2nd sentence, 1st para, mean? "Screened out" as in "not selected"? Or Did it win the competition? Lexein (talk) 09:14, 13 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. If you look at the article for the Berlin Film Festival you can see that it has two (main) sections: In competition and out of competition. Films in the former category are eligible to compete for the Golden Bear, with films in the latter not being eligible. Hope that helps. Lugnuts ^{Fire Walk with Me} 09:30, 13 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
