Credits song

What is the song of the credits and that Mr. Burns started playing? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.101.147.81 (talk) 01:21, 13 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The HAIKU

As Lisa points out, Barts words "and mom if you punch him in the junk you'll get no disrespect from me" are a Haiku.

77.116.223.54 (talk) 11:53, 13 October 2009 (UTC) xymx[reply]

"Haiku typically contain a kigo, or seasonal reference, and a kireji or verbal caesura". Just because it's written as 5-7-5 doesn't make it a haiku yet. Kar98 (talk) 23:21, 13 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Two Barnies?

Barnie seems to be at the same time in the hall ("We've been ready for hours!") and in Moe's bar (Moe: "Come on, come on, get back on your feet - I believe in you!" - Barnie: "I'm doing it, Moe!"). Is that a rushed production or does it mean Barnie has a twin brother?

Chuck Liddell voiced Englebrit

This is sourced to references 3, 4 and 5 and I can't see it in any of them, only that he voiced himself. Did he really voice Englebrit? Gran2 10:13, 17 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I found an interview with him and he said he only did one line in the episode, so he probably didn't voice Englebrit. Theleftorium 10:34, 17 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
TV Guide says that he voiced Englebrit as well. The Flash {talk} 15:15, 17 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I'm pretty sure that's a mistake. Theleftorium 15:18, 17 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, you're probably right. The Flash {talk} 18:15, 17 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Having watched it again, I'm confident it's Hank Azaria. Gran2 13:54, 18 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Rocky III in Cultural References

Should it be mentioned in Cultural References that the ending w/ Bart and Lisa is a play on the ending of Rocky III? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.204.134.160 (talk) 14:04, 25 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Unless there's a reliable source for it, no, sorry. The Flash {talk} 23:16, 29 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

General Comments

First of all, well done on creating a strong article. There are a few things that need your attention and for that reason I have put the GAR on hold so you can make amendments(please see the green box above). If you need any further help with the review you can contact me on my talk page. Good luck -- Nyxaus (talk) 23:37, 21 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Checklist

  •  Done Insure grammar and spelling is correct
  • I've done a copyedit of the article; tell me if it's fine now. The Flash {talk} 23:21, 22 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • Incorrect spelling of 'microphone' in Plot
  • "... though Otto Mann protests that that does not affect ...", is legal grammar but you may want to revise the phase just to simplify but is not necessary
Otherwise good prose and grammar. -- Nyxaus 10:03, 23 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Done both. Theleftorium 10:47, 23 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  •  Done Introduce in-text citation in the lead in places cited later on, such as writing & directing, and the Nielson ratings.
  • Are you sure that this is necessary? I've never read anything in WP:MOSTV about refs in leads, and it's almost never done on The Simpsons articles... The Flash {talk} 22:15, 22 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • If thats the format used in "The Simpsons" articles then that is fine, it is what I am custom to doing. -- Nyxaus 22:44, 22 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • Plot is strong however can it be backed up by any references?
    • The plot section does not require references per WP:MOSTV. Theleftorium 20:33, 22 December 2009 (UTC) [reply]
      • Apologies, I must have been confused!
  •  Done In the Production and cultural references section, you say "Marge claims that the word "Ultimate"...", please correctly emphasize the word Ultimate in italics, not in quotation marks.
  •  Done You mention MMAjunkie in the Production section. Either make the word an external link or post a link under the External links section.
    • The link is already in the reference. Why is another one needed? Theleftorium 20:33, 22 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
      • It would make further reading easier, but you are correct you do not need to wikilink.
        • Added a link to the website in the work field. The Flash {talk} 22:15, 22 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  •  DoneThere is possiblity for appropiate internal linking in the third and fourth paragraphs of Reception
  • I see from other points you prefer referencing to intext wikilinking so you can ignore this now as you have correctly referenced the review. -- Nyxaus 22:44, 22 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  •  Done You say the cost of the autograph is both $25 and $45, please correct if it is a mistake, or if the $45 was the mistake of the quoter no action is needed.
  • (If the answer to this is the later please indicate so I know it has been dealt with) -- Nyxaus 22:44, 22 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • Yeah, the person who said that it was $45 was mistaken; it actually was $25. The Flash {talk} 23:21, 22 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  •  Done Robert Canning's surname is misspelt in the beginning of the last paragraph on Reception (it is incorrectly spelt Clanning)
  •  Done Please insure the free use rationals are true of all images used.
    • What do you mean? Theleftorium 20:33, 22 December 2009 (UTC)][reply]
      • Just make sure the rationales are correct (just a general tip).
        • Checked both free-use images; Flickr CC and general PD tags for each check out. The Flash {talk} 22:15, 22 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I advise you to re-read all sentences word by word to insure basic spelling and grammar is correct, as this is an easy way to fail the final review.
