According to The Daily Mississippian's masthead, it has been "serving Ole Miss and Oxford since 1911." Is there a source for the 1937 date this article lists for it being established? AllTheseWorlds 22:53, 22 February 2007 (UTC)

Notability

It's hard to see the argument for non-notability when there are entries for other equivalent student newspapers on Wikipedia. As an example, for a year and a half, there has been a stub entry for LSU's The Daily Reveille a publication with similar publication rate and circulation. Yes, The Daily Mississippian entry is a stub and needs to be rounded out to fully support notability, but it's also a relatively new entry. AllTheseWorlds 01:46, 11 March 2007 (UTC)

Controversy

I'm not sure that the incident added under the Controversy heading is really notable enough to be included in this entry, or, rather, notable enough to be the only issue raised under this heading. (I'd be more comfortable with it if it were part of a more thorough discussion of controversial issues.)

However, that's just my opinion. I reverted the addition not only for that reason, but also because the edit was sloppily made, leaving part of existing material out of context. AllTheseWorlds 03:58, 20 April 2007 (UTC)
