External links

This is the Bellevue Stratford article. I don't think we need external links to sites mainly about Legionellosis. They belong in the Legionellosis or Legionella articles. I previously moved the "First Outbreak" over there, but it keeps getting put back here.--BillFlis 10:33, 23 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

THIS IS ALL ABOUT WHAT YOU THINK, DONT WORRY ABOUT OTHER FOLKS THINKING --Noigel2000 00:46, 27 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

What you need to do is tell people what you have done, or what you would like to do. The Bellevue is legionella, that she will never live down, to many medical articles written about it.

If you dont put the Hyatt link back I wont put the legionella link back, the Hyatt dont deserve free advertising, and stop messing with my link back to the bellevue

Noigel (I peeked at the history, so I know it's you), I didn't put the Hyatt link back in, but I do agree that it belongs here. The term "Bellevue Stratford" properly now refers to the building, which is managed by the people (landlords?) at the "Official Bellevue Stratford site" link (is that also an "advertisement"?). People still think of the BS as a hotel, even though quite a bit of it has been converted to other uses (offices, shops, restaurants). The Park Hyatt is the only hotel in the BS building. Maybe the PH hotel deserves its own article, with links to and from this page (but I tend to feel otherwise). If people reading this article are interested enough in the BS to want to stay there, I don't see the harm in pointing them to how to do that; there is plenty of precedent at Wikipedia to link to commercial establishments that are closely on-topic. I have not dealt with Hyatt, so I can't tell you what they deserve or not; you seem to have an axe to grind with them. As to legionellosis, I was the one who first added mention of it to this article, which you can take as evidence that I believe mention of it belongs here. But the beauty of Wikipedia (and of web pages in general) is links: we don't have to put everything on one page, we can organize it so people can find what they want without having to wade through a lot of only vaguely related stuff that's explained better in greater detail in another wikiarticle. And I did not delete the link to "First Outbreak", I moved it to the Legionella article where it belongs. I did delete the "See also" link to the wikiarticle on legionellosis, because it was already linked to within the article's text, so it was redundant. BTW, I did not appreciate your deleting my previous comments. You are the one who is doing things without discussion, then when comments appear here, you delete the discussion. That is rude, possibly vandalism. And no, the Bellevue is not legionella, that's a separate article. It would be inappropriate to merge them, as there have been too many outbreaks elsewhere.--BillFlis 15:40, 23 June 2006 (UTC

Mee thinks your trying to rule the roost here, you never moved the first outbreak link over I put it on the legionella page 20th May check the history, You have also been messing withe the external links, you removed the one to legion, that will be put back you made one to the 6th international Conference, thats gone last october, next ones France 2009

You seem to take pleasure in rubbishing my pages, thats why i deleted your remarks on my pages, seems after all these years only you are complainiung about them.get a life, The link to the Bellevue is an indirect link to the Hyatt, cant help that

Quote Wikipedia is not an advertising service unquote

have fun

you peeked..................its in the open and the bellevue is legionella other outbreaks dont matter, read my pages

By "peeked", I meant that I had to look at the history of this Discussion page to know that it was your message; as usual, you did not sign it. As for me "ruling the roost", once more you have resorted to an ad hominem argument: you don't like what I'm saying, so you attack me. Ah, I misspoke about moving the link to legionella, I moved it to legionellosis on 22 June--you can look it up. As for me "rubbishing" your pages, I didn't know they were yours when you told (not asked) me to "explain yourself" (I suppose that's a polite expression where you come from) when I remarked that they were poorly organized; I told you why I thought they are poorly organized but you deleted my remarks. As for what constitutes advertising, there are plenty of wikiarticles on major corporations: Coca-Cola Company, Sony, even Foster's Lager; why don't you delete them?--BillFlis 11:49, 26 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Seems you missed a few, honkey music, Colours, underlined..shame on you.

You should have realised by now that I have the largest information on the net for legionella, all links on the legionella page go back to my sites and thats not all of them, I run the only support group for the disease, the only discussion group for the disease which has some of the worlds leading experts on the disease as members.

I spent at least 16 hours a day on my comp..helping people on legionella and when i get smart remarks like yours about my pages

Do we need these so and so australian pages on here......well what can you expect me to say..you got it.........ot nice

and then you start moving my links all over the place and messing with them thats a no no

you should read Wikipedia policy on advertising

if it pleases you i will sign it if i know how still learning

visit my site at

http://www.q-net.net.au/~legion/Legionnaire`s_Disease_CONTENTS.htm

Oh well

one more for you

Thanks for your fascinating Web page on the Bellevue-Stratford hotel.

My wife and I were married there the evening of August 17, 1985. The wedding was supposed to have been in a room on the top floor, but that day huge chunks of plaster-some weighing probably 30 pounds-fell from the ceiling as the result of a leaking air conditioner. Had these fallen during our ceremony, it's very likely that someone would have been killed.

The hotel management moved our wedding to another room and relocated the dinner to the Grand Ballroom. It was a night to remember, but also a disaster narrowly averted. My wife and I spent a magical two nights in the hotel, but didn't see any ghosts. We felt fortunate not to have become some! Cheers,

yer before i forget, you dont like my search lights my enter if you dare my my my

RVV = "revert vandalism.--BillFlis 13:28, 30 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The only vandal around here is you , been checking back some , seems you have had problems before with people, I think you need to walk away from this page, you have no idea on the history of the Bellevue, so leave it --Noigel2000 12:17, 2 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Firstly, great article. Small point, I thought Dr Joseph McDade discovered 'the new bacteria' on 27th December, 1976 - not in 1977 as described? Jwilson trinem (talk) 09:40, 19 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
