Unclear description

The description is confusing. Even going to the strangely titled picture, the figures are small and unclear on my computer, so I need to rely on the description. Specifically, what does "left" mean? Since PD is facing us, it could mean closer to his left shoulder than to his right; but it could also me on the side of the painting that is closer to its left edge than to its right. In general, the use of "right" and "left" are wrong and should be left out when describing people in pictures facing us. This is especially a problem (assuming the writer is referring to the left side of the picture) when a possessive pronoun is used: "his left" means "his right"? 211.225.33.104 (talk) 09:58, 17 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
