(copied from Template talk:Did you know nominations/The Archives of the Planet) @Bruxton: I'm not sure if this was your decision or not but I feel it's rather pointless to have this hook at DYK without an image when the article is about a photographic project. Surely a rare color photograph of the pyramids of Giza from a hundred years ago is more interesting than a generic picture of a hockey player? Ruбlov (talkcontribs) 00:39, 23 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Rublov: I thought it could run without the image, but I will un-promote it and allow another editor to make a determination. Bruxton (talk) 02:12, 23 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Bruxton: When you un-promote a hook, you need to re-transclude the nom on the Approved page. (On my phone, so not doing it right now). —Kusma (talk) 05:53, 23 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Done now (managed to get to a proper computer). —Kusma (talk) 06:44, 23 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Personally I find the images that include people more attractive than the Pyramid (where the colour doesn't add much). For example, I like the Istanbul one. —Kusma (talk) 09:03, 25 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
This one? Am I allowed to propose alternate images? I think this image of a Buddhist lama also looks pretty cool. Ruбlov (talkcontribs) 14:09, 25 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Probably looks better than my suggestion at small size. And sure, you can propose other images, just need to get them accepted by the reviewer. —Kusma (talk) 14:16, 25 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

This is such a complex topic, perhaps we should divide it into more sub category's for less confusion :) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Timlyons29commando (talkcontribs) 16:53, 15 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
