Geology

The second sentence which mentions when the formation of the volcano zones is not finished. The most important geological event that occurred in this area is thought to be the collision of Indo-Eurasian plates during the Cenozoic. The collision of the plates has contributed to the formation of volcanoes in this area. Tengchong volcanic field is located in very complicated area where it is near intersections of several faults and thrusts. So, the surrounding major faults and thrusts can be mentioned.
