Merger Section

The section on the merger with Sleepy Hollow seems to me, to be promoting the merger. Melia Nymph (talk) 03:11, 7 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The Merger

Honestly, this was being talked about when I lived there (1981 - 2002). At one point, Sleepy Hollow, shortly after changing its name from North Tarryown, petioned then President Clintion for their own Zip Code, stating they named a street after him (Clinton Street, which has been there ever since I was born, long before he took office). If they go through with it, yay.

Personnaly, I don't think it will happen anytime soon. Even though they're preactically one town already, its all the admin stuff. 2 Police Stations, a ton of Fire Departments, 2 Ambulance Corps, etc. I've only visited a few times since I left, but it has changed alot. The Tarrytown Police Station is HUGE now. I remember when it was like 6 rooms and a small jail.

Point of Interest?

Regarding this: "Tarrytown Music Hall, one of the oldest surviving theaters in Westchester County; one of 6% in the US built before 1900"? Six percent of what? Just checking before I changed it, which I gather should be "one of six in the US built before 1900" -- unless someone else wants to fix it. 71.204.84.210 (talk) 17:48, 4 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

One of the first local lockdowns in COVID-19 pandemic

I recall back on March 16th, Tarrytown was one of the first local lockdowns in the USA to curb the spread of COVID-19, note Westchester County and NYC was one of the world's hardest-hit areas in the pandemic back in March and April. 2605:E000:100D:C571:BC2E:BB86:D811:71E4 (talk) 23:12, 30 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
