FunCtionS oF Tapetum wall of anther; 1.it helps in nourishment of growing pollen grains. 2.it secretes callase enzyme which breaks callose wall of pollen sac. 3.it produces pro ubish bodies or orbicules which when activated deposits on pollen grain leading to the formation of SporoPollenin which is the the most resistant organic material. 4.It helps in the formation of pollen kitt which provides sticky nature to pollen grains that has significant importance in the insect pollination.
