Proposed move

I know Arabic uses a different alphabet, but maybe we shouldn't spell the same word 3 ways in such a short article: tahdia, tahdiya and tadiya. Art LaPella (talk) 22:58, 17 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. The title of the article is different from the bolded text.

Tahdia gets 20k gHits and 92 gNews hits, and is mentioned in a Israel's Ministry of Foreign Affairs document.
Tahdiya gets 31k gHits and 98 gNews hits
Meanwhile, Tahdiya OR Tahdia on Google gets over 1.1 million hits.

Because of the information presented above, I'd recommend that the article is moved to Tahdiya but mentions both Tahdiya and Tahdia.Bsimmons666 (talk) 02:48, 19 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Stupid Article

This article provides false and misleading information, which is:

"Tahdiya is a clause in Islam that would permit a Muslim to lie to an enemy (and the Infidel)and even create a peace treaty which he plans to renege on, in the name of Allah", which is false the word literally means 'pacification' and has no religious significance.
"The concept is drawn out from the story of Mohammed and the Bnei Koraish (a Jewish Tribe)". Quraysh is an Arab tribe and Muhammad's own tribe. The term isn't drawn from any story either.
"Once the Jews had set aside their weapons and begun to learn the Torah and go to sleep, Mohammed and his followers sneaked in during the night and slaughtered the Jews as they slept". Is this a story about villains in a children's book??

Proposed Deletion

I oppose deleting this article; I have provided sources and expanded the stub. There are many articles about this concept online in the context of the Jewish-Arab conflict. I see no reason to delete it. HaileJones (talk) 01:54, 23 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
