Edit requests

I'd like to propose a few more changes to the article.

  1. In the lead section, remove the words "co-chaired by Timothy Geithner and Lawrence Summers, for the Obama administration" from the lead sentence, as this is an unnecessary level of detail that the reader can learn by clicking on the link to the Presidential Task Force on the Auto Industry article.
  2. In the "Private equity career" section, remove Merrill Lynch from the sentence about early investors in Quadrangle, as Merrill Lynch was not an early investor in Quadrangle. Also, change "the firm's asset management division announced it had been selected" to simply "the firm was selected," as the cited source does not refer to any such announcement by Quadrangle. And finally, change "the personal assets" to "the philanthropic and personal assets" (the source refers explicitly to Bloomberg's philanthropy, the Bloomberg Family Foundation).
  3. In the "Post-political career" section, add the following sentence to the end of the section: Since 2010, he has served as chairman and chief executive officer of Willett Advisors LLC, the investment firm that manages the philanthropic and personal assets of former New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg.[1]
  4. In the first sentence of the "New York pension fund investigation and settlements" section, change "made payments" to "retained," as this is a more precise term.
  5. Change the final sentence of the "New York pension fund investigation and settlements" section to: Rattner did not admit any wrongdoing and continued to assert his innocence.[2][3][4]

Hi @Remy2020: to answer your requests:

  1.  Done
  2.  Partly done: I've implemented the first two requests there; but not the one about "personal" to "philanthropic and personal" - as I don't think that's what the source is referring to. The source says Bloomberg chose Rattner to manage the investments of his multibillion-dollar fortune. The sentence about the Bloomberg Family Fortune is Last year, the mayor and his Bloomberg Family Foundation gave away more than $200 million, which I don't think is referring to the role of Rattner.
  3. Not done for now: the source you've given doesn't say that Rattner is/was the "chairman and chief executive officer of Willett Advisors LLC" - it says Mr. Rattner plays an active role in the day-to-day running of the firm, interviewing potential job candidates and having a hand in the investment process. Can you find a source that does say that?

Hi Seagull123, Remy2020 no longer works for Steve Rattner, so I'll respond here instead. First, thanks so much for taking the time to review this request. As for parts 2 and 3 of the request that you only implemented partially, here is a Wall Street Journal article that states: "Mr. Rattner is now chairman and CEO of Willett Advisors LLC, which invests former New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s personal and philanthropic assets."
