A member of the public on this 4th July 2021 episode of BBC Antiques Roadside indicated his mother originated the "children on the road " design used by Start-rite

Notability

I have nothing to do with Start-rite. I know them because my mummy bought me my first pair of Start-rite shoes [exact number redacted but it is quite big!] years ago.

As to notability, I would have thought the number of Google hits was sufficient. See things like Retail Week quoting it as a "classic brand" or their chief exec reporting £1.9 million profit. Sgroupace (talk) 20:16, 29 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
