Police dept chief photo

There's a fine public domain historic photo here of the Stamford police chief, which would make a nice small illustration in the Police section of this article. It's in 1914, photo of William Brennan, more info here. --doncram (talk) 00:15, 17 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Stamford in fictional media (Comic books)

In the giant Marvel 2006/2007 comics crossover event, 'Civil War', Stamford played a major part - it is the place where the whole mess reaches its boiling point. During a time when a controversial issue is playing out in government circles - 'Should all superheroes register with the authorities, including releasing their true identities and conceding to work with the government?' - the New Warriors, a team of young heroes, attempt to capture a quartet of supervillains in an urban area of Stamford. One of these supervillains, Nitro, a psychotic killer with the ability to literally explode and then just reappear, rather than letting himself be caught, blows up in a giant fireball, killing over 600 people including all children of a nearby school. This basically races the law through Congress, leading to the schism in the superhero community and the Civil War. After the war is over, a new superhero training facility is established, also in Stamford.

Now my question is: Is it worth including in the article? It's true that, say, New York plays a part in, oh, about a quarter of all superhero comics, but Stamford is not New York, and this was so unusual and the mention so emphatetic it seems worthwhile. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 77.249.79.198 (talk) 10:57, 26 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Neighborhoods

Southfield and Southfield Village are not a part of the Springdale neighborhood. They should fall under "South End." I think Waterside should also fall under "South End" not "West Side." Also, what about Dolphin Cove? If Revonah Woods is a neighborhood, then Dolphin Cove certainly is. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Littlebrownpony (talkcontribs) 00:39, 15 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

2020 population?

How is there already a population listed here as of the 2020 census when the results of the 2020 census aren't scheduled to be released until April 30th?--🌀Kieran207-talk🌀 13:34, 26 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I have reverted the edit in question, as the citation was clearly not to official census data. --Kinu t/c 21:18, 26 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

NCC listed as a Stamford school?

I don't understand the reasoning as to how Norwalk Community College is listed as an institution of Stamford. They are two completely different cities, even the website says it's located in Norwalk. Unless there is something I'm missing, there is no way that big of an oversight should be in opening paragraph of this page. Tom yamaza (talk) 23:34, 1 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
