The article Sports of Milwaukee was recently made, but should be merged into this article, since this is the proper naming convention for such articles (see Sports in Chicago or Sports in New York City, etc) --ZimZalaBim (talk) 19:40, 14 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I just merged them. Had I been able to find Sports in Milwaukee, I wouldn't have created Sports of Milwaukee. --Illwauk— Preceding undated comment added 21:34, 14 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Cool - can I go ahead and delete Sports of Milwaukee now? --ZimZalaBim (talk) 21:55, 14 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I deleted it. --ZimZalaBim (talk) 04:11, 15 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

NCAA hoops text

I snipped this from the Milwaukee, Wisconsin page with the intention of pasting it here, but much of the relevant text is already incorporated, and the whole "renaissance" language is too flowery anyway. Pasting here to archive:

Men's college basketball is currently enjoying a renaissance in the city as both of its NCAA Division I teams - the Marquette Golden Eagles and the Milwaukee Panthers, have made the post season in each of the past four years (three NCAA appearances for Milwaukee and two for Marquette). Starting with the 2007-08 season, the schools will rekindle their annual rivalry game which has been dormant since 1998.

Additional Others

Should something about the United States Bowling Congress be added? Since it is, afterall, head-quartered in Milwaukee. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 134.48.161.19 (talkcontribs) 13:55, 4 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Stone Cold

I realized, after I added the "citation needed" remark to the Stone Cold line, that you linked to the article in wikipedia where it states that exact fact. However, I've decided to leave it there b/c it really should be cited either in this article OR in that one, and its currently cited in neither. Cheers, PaddyM 00:23, 11 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
