Talk:Spodoptera mauritia

Hi! I am posting here as part of a Behavioral Ecology class, hoping to improve several pages in the Lepidoptera WikiProject.

The page has an informative section about how this species causes damage by excreting urea and feeding on crops as well as a great section on how damage can be controlled. However, the “Stub-class” rating can be improved by adding a few more categories and fixing some grammatical errors, especially in the “Description” and “Damage and control” sections. A category on this species’ life cycle is necessary because it is the caterpillar that causes damage, and not the adults, based on my understanding of the page. Though well written, the “Ecology” section could be expanded to include more details about how swarms of these armyworms travel and how specifically urea is damaging to plants. Finally, I know that many species of moths are nocturnal so a mention of whether these are diurnal or nocturnal creatures could lend more useful information to this page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Arajan1 (talkcontribs) 20:26, 14 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
