Production of Sodium Benzoate - contradiction in article?

The opening paragraph says: "It can be produced by reacting sodium hydroxide with benzoic acid." Then later in the article it says: "Sodium benzoate is prepared by adding benzoic acid to a hot concentrated solution of sodium carbonate until effervescence ceases..."

Which is it that is used to produce Sodium Benzoate by reacting with benzoic acid ? Sodium hydroxide, or Sodium carbonate ? (or both ?)--197.79.0.7 (talk) 10:39, 6 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

However, this process is not reflected by the site from the History page --222.64.223.252 (talk) 01:26, 7 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Same thing could happen to the following pages

I don't understand what this means at all. Please explain what you mean more clearly. —Keenan Pepper 07:07, 7 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I don't understand it either, but this IP user has got to stop doing this kind of weirdness all over various food related articles. I've had enough of his links to stuff in Chinese, cryptic comments on the talk page, removal of references, addition of irrelevant things in the see also section and so on. It is looking more and more like vandalism rather than constructive editing. Astronaut (talk) 02:25, 13 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
