I think that socialism in Australia is a topic worthy of it's own article. After all, socialism is one of the main political forces in Australia, along with conservatism and liberalism. Charles Essie (talk) 19:47, 5 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Needs a thorough overhaul

Not only is "socialism" undefined for the subject of the article, the only reference used is not WP:RS. Just because groups call themselves 'socialist' somewhere in the title, or sources call themselves 'socialist' in some form or another, it does not make it so. I could use articles from the World Socialist Web Site as references (it's got 'socialist' in the name), but is it a reliable source for developing an encyclopaedic article. What is needed are serious academic sources for defining the scope of content for this article. --Iryna Harpy (talk) 19:39, 16 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Should have a list of Australian Socialists

Articles like Nationalism in Australia have a list of people associated with that political ideology, I believe a similar section would be warranted for this article JWBurgess (talk) 05:55, 20 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Editing

Seems to have been written by an ESL author. I have made a start on converting it to standard English. Evadeluge (talk) 12:54, 8 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Australian Communist Party Separate page?

Party seems kind of growing in relevance, and has an actual monthly newspaper. Also taken positons on voice to parliament. Might be worth to make a Australian Communisty Party (2019) page? Shcmilly (talk) 06:33, 19 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Adding some of the smaller movements?

For example groups like Platypus Australia, The Revolutionary Communist Organization, the Freedom Socialist Party, Spartacist League Australia and the Red Ant Collective?

Since some of these groups are fairly influential within the socialist movement, just haven't had too much focus outside the left. Waltzing Brunhilda (talk) 03:28, 18 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
