Which primal cut?

according to organic ranchers niman ranch a skirt steak actually comes from the chuck region which corresponds roughly to the shoulder region. this was against everything I had heard previously but thought that they should actually be an expert on this topic - can we get some sources to verify the information one way or the other ? here is the niman link [1] —Preceding unsigned comment added by 151.202.9.106 (talk • contribs)

It looks like the name "skirt steak" can refer to several different cuts, although the most common in the U.S. is the cut from the plate primal. This is what Hormel Meats [2] says, as well as the NAMP cited in the article (referred to in The Field Guide to Meat by Aliza Green, a reference book). Hormel also mentions that in Britain, the skirt steak is a cut from the flank primal. I'll add these, and the sources, to the article, which was on my list of things to work on in any case. Use NAMP identification numbers to avoid confusion over names. NAMP identifies two skirt steaks: NAMP 1121D, Beef Plate, Inside Skirt Steak, and NAMP 1121E, Beef Plate, Outside Skirt Steak. Mechanical tenderization

The claim "For Mexican cuisine, the skirt steak should be mechanically tenderized before preparation" is highly dubious. In none of my Spanish-language cookbooks that refer to arracheras is there any reference to mechanical tenderization, nor have I ever encountered skirt steak in Mexico that had been so treated. --Edmatthews (talk) 14:26, 24 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Done. I pretty much rewrote the page once I noticed that the prior definition of inner and outer skirt steaks was incorrect. Now corrected and cited.--Edmatthews (talk) 15:56, 24 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Roumanian Tenderloin

On Nov 30, immediately after adding a paragraph about another use of this cut of meat, "Tanthalas39" deleted my edit. The fact that I have eaten this cut of meat all my life, both at home and at restaurants, and the fact that my uncle is a butcher, apparently doesn't make me an expert. Well, I have added two citations, a definition from Dictionary.com and an entry from one of NYC's most famous Roumanian Deli restaurants, Sammy's. Link / finding Article

I think this article should be available when searching for "beef skirt" or "beef skirting", both terms I have frequently encountered for it, unfortunately the only result I get on this is "skirting" which has a redirect to baseboard. Could someone who knows how to do that take out that redirect and make "skirting" a landing page that gives users the option to choose which skirting they meant, since skirting is used more often then just for baseboards... --Fgwaller (talk) 13:00, 21 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Wrong links to other languages

In the "Languages" section, where it is supposed to link to articles about the same thing in other languages, there are these wrong links:

German: https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kronfleisch

Spanish: https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kronfleisch

Portuguese: https://pt.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kronfleisch

Those articles are unrelated and the links are wrong.

I tried to edit it by going to "Edit Links" and removing them, but I get a confusing unclear nonsense error message that says that I should only delete them if the pages no longer exist, or something like that.

What's the right way to tell Wikipedia that those article are NOT the Spanish, German and Portuguese version of this article (i.e. they are not at all about the same thing) and to remove them from there?
