First prince?

Both Sico of Salerno and his father, Siconulf of Salerno, are described here on WP as "the first prince of Salerno". Logic dictates that it's likelier to be true of the father - anyone know for sure? Gonzonoir (talk) 16:02, 6 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
