Confusing lede
I don't get what this means, U.S. Navy officer, with the highest ranking by rank, or number in rank. Can somebody translate that into plain English? How is it any different from just plain, "Highest ranking officer"? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.5.223.105 (talk • contribs) 00:02, 15 July 2012 (UTC)
- (11 years later) I agree. I think they mean United States military seniority but are trying not to say "the senior officer is the officer who is most senior". I'll try to rephrase. Mgp28 (talk) 13:02, 26 August 2023 (UTC)
Original meaning
SOPA orginally meant "Our bar is open." You might want to update the aricle to relect this (though exactly how is beyond me). — Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.5.223.105 (talk) 00:02, 15 July 2012 (UTC)
