This is a good introduction to SRM mass spectrometry, but I believe some improvement could be helpful to widen the scope a little bit.
I would say SRM is used for many types of chemical quantitative analysis, mostly for small molecules.
The detection system of the SRM enabled mass spectrometer can be of several types, not only the electron multiplier.
The term Multiple Reaction Monitoring, MRM, may have been deprecated by de Hoffmann in 1996, but two of the major mass spectrometer manufacturers today use the term, so I believe it is relevant to inform the reader that the terms are used as synonyms. I wonder if it is possible to link MRM to this article.

- The first suggestion is a good one, please go ahead and add it. For the second, the article simply says that SRM is primarily done on triple quads which use electron multipliers—I think this is an accurate statement. And multiple reaction monitoring already redirects here. We could soften that sentence a bit to let people know it is still used. –CWenger (^ • @) 18:20, 31 August 2011 (UTC)
